Water, clean-up and an Oct 16 Sale!

We thought you might be curious what 15+ inches of rain in less than 36 hours looks like. These photos were taken between May 3 and May 8, by Four L's farm manager and his wife, Ennis and Karen Wallace.
Despite the rain, a broken levy, water rushing across State Hwy 220 which borders the farm., we did not lose any cattle. For this, we must thank Four L's fast-thinking manager, Ennis Wallace, who could not reach some of the cattle and opened the gates so the cows could find their own way to higher ground; and they did.
Carroll County has just been added to the list of disaster counties in Tennessee. The water has receded, and we have started assessing the damage.
Whatever the challenges, we'll be ready for the Fall Four L Sale, Saturday, Oct. 16, 2010. Bring your trailer; you can leave the boat at home.
